Luigi "Gigi" Cagni,  is an Italian football former professional player currently and currently professional football manager.

As a player he was considered a true veteran of the series B, where since 1987, holds the record number of appearances for the category, with 496 games played.

In 1988-89 he was appointed coach of Brescia youth team, the following year Centese C2, then for 6 years at Piacenza leading the team from C1 to A. In the 96-97 and 97-98 Verona, Genoa and then Salernitana.Nel 2000 Sampdoria until 2003, where he returned to Piacenza to stay there until 2005. After four months in Catanzaro resigns and is then called in February 2005 Empoli. Remains with the Tuscan club until 2008, reaching the historic qualification UEFA. The following year 2008-2009 goes to Parma. After the experience with the "crusaders," Cagni led Vicenza and Spezia with whom he finished the season 2012/2013.
